One does not have to have any special art making skills to participate in art therapy. Art Therapists are trained to meet clients where they are and assist in exploration of art materials while working together to meet therapeutic goals.
Art therapy is used to treat a wide range of mental health issues, including:
It is also used as a complementary treatment for individuals with physical or medical conditions such as chronic pain, cancer, and terminal illness.
